Stintino has many varied and exciting water
sports on offer. We use the Pelosa beach as our base because it is at the
northern tip of the island where there is almost always a steady wind and it is
within
easy reach of all the accommodation. It offers the choice of moderate winds and
flat sea in the lee of the island of Asinara (a small
uninhabited island just off the coast of Sardinia) for
beginners and intermediates but also stronger winds and more choppy waters for
the more hard core players, just a little way offshore.
The rugged shores just around the point of
Capo Falcone and the island of Asinara host many interesting sights for
snokelers and scuba divers.
Instruction is on hand for all the sports for
those who wish to try them for the first time or to improve. Equipment is
also available for hire if you already have the necessary skills and wish to go
off by yourself.
If you would like to go and explore the many
coves and little beaches around this part of the island, you can hire a rib (a 25 or 40 hp
inflatable boat with fibreglass bottom) by the hour, half
day, day or week at the Pelosa beach.
